Binance Partners with Payment Platform Latam Gateway, Resuming Deposits and Withdrawals Service

Binance, the cryptocurrency exchange, announced a partnership in order to restore deposits in Brazilian reals through Latam Gateway, Brazil’s payments platform.

Latam Gateway assists clients in Latin America to monetize their digital businesses through instant and local payments. This technology allows them to increase sales conversion.

Binance, on June 17, stated that it had “represented that dues to actions that were inconsistent with its values,” it would replace Brazil’s payment partnership Capitual and choose a new payment provider.

Since then, withdrawals and deposits through the Brazilian government’s payment system Pix were suspended. Brazilian users now support deposits on Binance via Pix. With this new partner withdrawals will be resumed shortly.

Binance’s P2P trading platform has been used by cryptocurrency investors in Brazil since 2020. You can also buy. cryptocurrencies You can send money directly to Pix and banks via bank transfers.

One of the founders of Capitual has been placed in criminal custody for allegedly helping Glaidson Acácio dos Santos launder money while participating in a cryptocurrency Ponzi scheme.

Capital will therefore be taken to court by Binance. Brazil’s Court of São Paulo (TJSP) has frozen BRL 451.6 million ($84.6 million) in assets from Binance customers from Capital’s accounts.

Last month, Binance launched a new trading platform solution for VIP and Institutional clients to efficiently execute digital assets trades and capture market opportunities more effectively.
